Target’s Next Collaboration? Missoni!

Hot on the heels of Target’s latest collaboration with Calypso, Target next partnership will be this fall with family owned Milanese label Missoni. Missoni is a celebrity favorite brand, being sited as one of fashionista Nicole Richie’s favorites, and having been worn by the likes of Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Molly Sims, and Vanessa Hudgens to name a few. According to Vogue Daily, hot The collaboration will be one of Target’s biggest yet with over 400 items set to be released come Sept. 13 through Oct. 22. Items will range from women’s, men’s, and children’s to housewares that will include sheets and dishes and all should feature Missoni’s signature swirls and zigzag patterns. To give you an idea of what to expect I’ve included a few images of some very familiar faces wearing Missoni.

Calypso For Target - Sneak Peek from Racked

Target will be launching a collaboration with Calypso May 1, with prices ranging from $1.99 to $79.99. Calypso, if your not familiar, is a high-end, resort-wear luxury line that offers premium fabrics in silky, flowy shapes. Items will include woman's wear, baby clothes, makeup pouches, and footwear. Although there haven't been any pictures of the line yet, racked.com was given a sneak peek of the collection last week and their review was rather positive:

"We fondled and groped all the pieces (in summer whites, bold pinks and reds, and delicious shades of blue), plus carefully inspected all the intricate beading and sequins, colorful embroidery, grosgrain-piping and crocheted lace. And, folks, it all looked and felt really good. Most of the pieces (like the white harem pants, wrap dresses, peasant tops, and beachy shorts) are made out of soft cotton voile.

Also, we spoke with the Calypso creative director herself and she confirmed that a few pieces are made of real silk and pure linen. We're betting that the navy blue tie-dyed tunic with creamy crochet paneling—priced at just $36—will sell out in a snap (we saw it on a model and it looks much more expensive than it is), plus all the editors were eying a melon-hued tie-dyed maxi dress ($49.99) with a rope belt."

Calypso for Target will be available from May 1 to June 11.

What do you think? Are you excited for this line?
